Once all tour participants have arrived, we convene for a warm welcome and refreshments, accompanied by introductions. The evening’s agenda revolves around fostering camaraderie as we dine together in authentic Latin-American fashion. For those still brimming with energy after the journey, an option to unwind at a nearby local bar awaits.
We kick off the day with an informative meeting, where we provide details about your upcoming adventure on the Best of Andes 3 Paso tour and your stay in Santiago. Practical information regarding motorcycle and car rental checkout, as well as safety guidelines and tour information, will also be covered to ensure everyone is well-prepared for the journey ahead.
Following the meeting, the remainder of the day is yours to explore downtown Santiago at your leisure. We suggest visiting Cerro San Cristobal, an 860-meter hill in the heart of Santiago offering attractions such as a zoo, wine museum, and a gondola ride to the summit where a statue of the Virgin Mary overlooks the city. Additionally, don’t miss the opportunity to visit SkyCostanera, the highest viewing platform in Santiago located atop the tallest building in Latin America, offering breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the city from a height of 300 meters.
In the evening, we gather to check out our motorcycles or vehicles before enjoying a delightful dinner together.
Our Latin American driving adventure begins! Once everyone is prepared, we set off on our remarkable tour. Our journey begins with a northward drive towards one of the tour’s standout highlights: crossing the Argentina border via Cristo Redentor, situated at a breathtaking elevation of 3,832 meters (10,499 feet) above sea level. The roads ahead promise an exhilarating motorcycle ride, offering perfect conditions that you’re sure to relish. Please note that the optional stretch across the actual mountain pass involves traversing a gravel road.
We pause for a refreshing lunch break in Las Cuevas before continuing our route to Puenta del Inca, an ancient Inka (Indian) village. Along the way to Mendoza, we make a memorable stop to admire and capture photographs of Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Andes towering at 6,962 meters above sea level. Our final destination for the day is Mendoza, where we’ll enjoy a lively evening together. Mendoza exudes a charming, laid-back ambiance, boasting numerous cozy cafes and enticing shopping opportunities. Be sure to visit the fountain in the city center for a memorable experience.
Welcome to a breathtaking day of riding along the stunning Chilean coastline. Our journey southward towards Vina del Mar treats us to picturesque beach shores and charming coastal villages, where you may catch glimpses of pelicans and sea lions basking in the sun.
Our first destination is Fray Jorge National Park, recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve for its unique ecosystem. Continuing our ride south, we make a couple of enjoyable pit stops in the cozy towns of Papudo and Zapallar, each offering their own distinct charm and attractions.
We conclude our day with our final evening and a farewell dinner in lively Vina del Mar, often referred to as Chile’s version of St. Tropez. Here, amidst the vibrant atmosphere and stunning coastal scenery, we bid farewell to our memorable journey together.
